Biography

Nicole worked for 18 years as a paralegal and then she attended Northern Illinois University College of Law and earned her J.D.  While attending law school, Nicole worked at the Hooved Animal Humane Society in Woodstock, Illinois writing legal articles regarding legislation. 

Since becoming an attorney, Nicole has represented clients in a wide range of personal injury, family law cases, including: divorce, custody matters, DCFS proceedings, foster proceedings, guardianships, adoptions, and civil litigation. Nicole is passionate in her representation of clients.

Nicole views her clients as family, and family comes first. She will go to great lengths to ensure your satisfaction and that you and your case are handled appropriately. No matter the client, Nicole focuses on having a “work for them” attitude.

When she is not practicing law, you can probably find her in some field with her Jeep off-roading. Nicole is a Jeep enthusiast and a member of various Jeep clubs.

• Family Law

Nicole represents clients in all facets of family law, including divorce, custody, DCFS investigations and hearings, foster proceedings, guardianships, and adoptions.

Nicole advocates for foster parents’ rights and represents foster families throughout Illinois.  Nicole is not just an attorney for foster parents, but Nicole is also a foster parent.  She knows the struggles and heartbreak and pleasure foster parents experience and the love and stability they bring to children in their care.  Her passion for the rights of foster parents spills over into every case she takes.

Nicole is also a Guardian AD Litem (GAL) working with the judiciary as a representative for child in court. 

• Personal Injury

Nicole has represented both injured parties and at fault parties in various injury related matters throughout the state, including McHenry, Lake, Kane, and Cook Counties.

• Civil Litigation

Nicole has trial experience throughout Illinois, routinely appearing in not only McHenry, Lake and Cook, but also various down state courts.   She is trial bar certified to appear as lead trial counsel in the United States Federal Court for the Northern District of Illinois and has numerous trials in state court.

• On-Demand Corporate Counsel

Nicole represents small to midsize company as their on-demand corporate counsel, representing them in all their needs, from employment, to contract, to formation.
